Position update

156 X YGE @ 10.52
300 X CSIQ @ 14.83
400 X TAN @ 7.77

I think the we are either very close to the local bottom or already passed it. Somehow I highly suspect that there may be a brutal day in the coming days. But that shouldn't affect the overall mid-term trending. So the new theme will be "buy dip" again.

Position update and next few weeks

Current positions:

500 X JASO at $4.97
300 X EXM at $6.03
100 X SPWRA at $18.22

I am expecting/afraid/thinking that the market is gonna turn south in the coming week or two. However, I still believe that Solar still have potential to climb up in the short term. That's why I am still holding some solar positions.

200 X YGE at $11.22
500 X JASO at $5.97
700 X ASTI at $ 3.96

Position update (unloading solar)

Sold all JASO, 200 X TAN, all EXM.

Currently has 100 X TAN, 120 X WFR, 200 X YGE, 100 X SDS at $33.50, and a few FNM.

I will hold on SDS for a few more days depending on how the market goes. If it surpass 1150 without a blink, I'll have to cut it.

Thursday, February 25, 2010

wow, what a day!

Kind of an surprising open and a surprising mid-day reversal. Totally didn't expected that.

Current positions:

400 X EXM at $5.25
200 X YGE at $11.22
120 X WFR at $12.16
300 X TAN at $7.78
200 X FNM at $1.01

I think it's time for dry baltic shipping and solar to fly soon (if not already started).

Update on positions:

100 X SDS at $34.67
400 X EXM at $5.21
20 X WFR at $12.48

It looks like Solar will be heading south in the next week (or two). I will be waiting.

ABK...

+18% today.

Gambling is not my thing, lol.

I am tempted to add more EXM tomorrow. But after I saw the EUR/USD chart, I decided to wait for at least one more day.

Update 02/12/2010

Europeans scared me this morning and I cleared SSO and ABK. I didn't have a good chance to buy back SSO. Instead, I bought 200 X GE at $15.56 after market closed. And somehow I got only 20 X WFR, damn.

400 X EXM,
200 X GE,
20 X WFR.

Bottom

I was scared for a moment when the market dips at the opening.
I got rid of ING and SSO in the pre-market and bought back SSO at $34.96 after market closed. Also got 1000 X ABK at $0.57 for gambling.

I really think this is the bottom. We will see a rally soon.

update

400 X EXM at 5.22
100 X ING at 8.62
100 X SSO at 34.74

I think it's very likely that we will see a bottom this week, possibly after a few zig-zag. If the market drops to 1000 (unlikely), it would make it a very lucrative entry point.

American Solar companies are taking really bad hits, WFR a couple days ago, now it's ENER. I like WFR though, waiting for opportunities.

Local bottom?

Daytraded 100 X SSO before open and got $70 buffet monday. I was too busy to trade during regular trading hour on Friday and missed the S&P 1044 bottom. I did buy 100 X SSO at 34.74, 300 X EXM at 5.22, and 138 X ING at 8.74.

It looks like it's a local bottom, if not, i'll start to average down.

Cleared all SSO position

Sold at an averaged price of $36.98.

About tomorrow. It looks very likely that it will be a small green. If that's the case, watch out for next week.

Looking to close half SSO tomorrow or on Thursday

Tomorrow we will know that if "this time is different".
I will set 100 stop at $36.98 (S&P cash=1097-1098).

We'll see what happens.

I expect baltic shipping (EXM, DRYS...) to drop another 10-20%. Maybe we'll see a bottom very soon.

Friday, January 29, 2010

Bought 200 X SSO at $35.35

I will not average down on SSO. Current plan is to sell 100 short term and hold the other 100 no more than 2 weeks.

Solar and Baltic shipping all have their major problem now. So I am trying to be extra careful catching the falling knives.

Short term watch list: JASO, EXM, (YGE and WFR, ENER, drys as backups)

2010!

new start.

Managed t +12% gain last year. let's see how this year will turn out to be.
